Play & the imagination
Working as an Associate of PLAYLINK, the brief was to enrich & enliven opportunities for play in four Oxford parks, including Meadow Lane, Cutteslowe & Sunnymead, Alexandra and Quarry Hollow Parks. Each project moved away from fixed equipment towards creating journeys to explore, generous areas of sand, strong planting & bespoke artworks, such as a climbing boulder carved by local craftsman Alec Peever for Quarry Hollow Park. Every scheme involved close collaboration with local Friends groups, who continue to look after their community parks.
