The Romford Ring Road
What If: Projects Limited were appointed by the London Borough of Havering to help green the Romford Ring Road – a stretch of carriage way that encircles the historic town centre of Romford. The project brief has been to assess existing planting around the ring road, especially trees, and to develop a design guide as well as proposals for particular sites, including roundabouts and public parks. Inspiration for planting has come from wild-flowers thriving on unused land as well as from important landscape elements, such as the Rom river itself.
